Role Context
The Sales
Key Responsibilities
* Proactively identify, solicit, and manage hotel sales opportunities that support personal sales goals and overall property revenue targets.
* Build strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to encourage repeat business, future bookings, and long-term account growth.
* Work closely with off-property sales channels so that sales activities remain coordinated, aligned, and non-duplicative.
* Develop business relationships within the local community, corporate market, travel trade, and relevant customer segments to expand the hotel’s sales base.
* Maintain productive relationships with internal departments, external stakeholders, clients, agencies, and business partners.
* Provide clear and complete turnover details to Event Management and hotel operations teams to support accurate service delivery.
* Join sales calls with colleagues to help acquire new business, progress active leads, and close suitable opportunities.
* Support booked business through proposals, contracts, customer correspondence, follow-up communication, and internal coordination.
* Study competitor strengths, market conditions, demand patterns, economic trends, and customer expectations to improve sales decisions.
* Select and close the most suitable opportunities based on hotel needs, location priorities, revenue potential, and market timing.
* Understand the hotel’s target customers, their service expectations, business concerns, and buying motivations.
* Present practical hospitality solutions that match client needs while supporting the property’s commercial goals.
* Deliver excellent customer service during each client interaction and help strengthen customer loyalty.
* Grow share of account through consistent communication, professional follow-up, and reliable account support.
* Uphold Marriott service standards while setting a positive example in guest relations and business communication.
* Interact with guests and customers to gather useful feedback on service levels, product quality, and overall experience.
Ideal Profile
* 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major with at least 3 years of experience in sales and marketing or a related professional area.
* Alternatively, 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major with at least 1 year of relevant sales and marketing experience.
* Previous experience in hotel sales, hospitality sales, account management, business development, or customer relationship management is strongly preferred.
* Practical understanding of hotel revenue generation, client acquisition, sales calls, proposals, contracts, and customer handover processes.
* Ability to manage relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, event organizers, agencies, community contacts, and internal hotel teams.
* Strong awareness of Dubai hospitality market trends, competitor activity, guest expectations, and customer buying behavior.
* Confident communication style with good negotiation, presentation, follow-up, and relationship-building skills.
* Organized approach to customer correspondence, documentation, contract support, and operational coordination.
* Service-focused mindset with the ability to represent a luxury hospitality brand professionally.
* Comfortable working in a full-time management position at a hotel location in Palm West Beach, Palm Jumeirah Road, Dubai.
