Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute hotel development strategies aligned with IHG’s regional growth objectives
* Identify, originate, and secure new development opportunities including franchise, managed, conversion, and portfolio deals
* Work closely with the Senior Director Development to assess strategic projects such as brand roll-outs, portfolio agreements, and co-branding opportunities
* Track and manage development opportunities across the Middle East region with a focus on conversions and strategic pitches
* Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel owners, investors, capital partners, consultants, and development agents
* Conduct market research and feasibility analysis to evaluate development opportunities and site viability
* Manage the structuring, negotiation, and closing of development agreements from initial pitch through final approval
* Prepare and coordinate responses to RFPs in collaboration with internal teams and local market stakeholders
* Coordinate internal resources including design and engineering, legal, finance, operations, and investment analysis teams
* Support internal approval processes and ensure timely progression of deals to completion
Ideal Profile
* Proven experience in hotel development with exposure to multiple deal structures such as franchise and management agreements
* Strong understanding of Middle East markets including UAE, GCC, Levant, and surrounding regions
* Solid knowledge of hotel project economics, return on investment analysis, and owner decision drivers
* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders
* Demonstrated project management capabilities
* Financial modeling experience is an advantage
* Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving and opportunity identification skills
* Excellent presentation and communication skills, both in formal presentations and one-to-one discussions
* Ability to work effectively across diverse cultural and international teams
* Arabic language skills are preferred
