Job Overview
As a Sous Chef at Jumeirah Burj Al Arab, you will assist in the preparation and presentation of premium dishes while maintaining the highest food quality standards. This role includes supporting kitchen operations, mentoring junior chefs, and contributing to creative menu development within one of the most iconic culinary destinations in the world.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook premium dishes according to the restaurant’s menu standards
* Ensure strict hygiene, food safety, and waste management compliance
* Communicate operational challenges to the Executive Sous Chef and execute solutions effectively
* Support menu creation by contributing innovative ideas and seasonal recipes
* Train and supervise junior kitchen staff to maintain consistent quality
* Keep abreast of culinary trends and introduce modern techniques to elevate the dining experience
Job Requirements
* UAE National with a valid Family Book (required as per role eligibility)
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a luxury international hotel or fine-dining restaurant
* Degree in Culinary Arts from an accredited culinary school
* Completion of certified kitchen apprenticeship or equivalent training
* Expert knowledge of classical and international culinary methods
* Ability to maintain excellence under pressure and lead by example
