About the Role
As Sous Chef at Nobu, you will work closely with the Chef de Cuisine to organize and manage operational requirements in accordance with established standard operating procedures.
This is a
hands-on leadership position where maintaining culinary and service standards goes together with developing the kitchen team. You will direct, supervise and motivate colleagues while helping ensure the operation remains organized, properly supplied and compliant with required hygiene and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Chef de Cuisine with the leadership and organization of kitchen operations.
* Maintain operational requirements in accordance with established standard operating procedures.
* Ensure proper hygiene and sanitation throughout areas under your responsibility.
* Monitor the availability of working materials and maintain adequate stock levels.
* Coordinate effectively with other departments to support smooth operations.
* Participate in the training and development of kitchen colleagues.
* Direct and supervise team members during daily operations.
* Enforce established service standard procedures.
* Motivate colleagues to perform consistently at a high level.
* Apply effective time management while handling multiple operational priorities.
