Novotel Dubai Al Barsha is hiring a Stewarding Supervisor - Hygiene Operations in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for a Hospitality role supporting safe and efficient food and beverage operations. The position leads daily stewarding activities, protects hygiene standards and ensures that restaurants, kitchens, banquet areas and storage facilities remain properly equipped and organized.
Role Context
The Stewarding Supervisor coordinates the people, equipment and cleaning processes that support uninterrupted culinary and restaurant service. This role provides hands-on supervision, verifies that operational areas meet food safety requirements and keeps communication flowing between Stewarding, Culinary and Restaurant Management teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Direct daily stewarding activities across kitchens, restaurants, loading
docks and storage areas.
* Assign duties, monitor workloads and ensure cleaning tasks are completed within operational timelines.
* Supervise the cleaning and proper care of tableware, silverware, glassware, cookware and banquet equipment.
* Coordinate the delivery and setup of equipment for restaurant services, meetings and banquet functions.
* Review banquet event orders and confirm that requested equipment and supplies are prepared on time.
* Maintain clear coordination with Culinary and Restaurant Management during service and event preparation.
* Receive and inspect food products and dry goods before directing them to approved storage locations.
* Support accurate inventory control and ensure stored items comply with food safety requirements.
* Inspect stewarding machinery and kitchen equipment daily for safe and reliable operation.
* Report equipment defects, damage and maintenance requirements promptly to management.
* Keep workstations, equipment rooms and storage facilities clean, safe and systematically arranged.
* Enforce departmental procedures, hygiene practices and health and safety regulations.
* Train new employees and provide practical coaching to existing stewarding team members.
* Encourage teamwork, accountability and respectful communication during demanding operational periods.
* Respond to changing priorities and resolve service-related issues with a practical approach.
* Deliver professional and proactive support to colleagues across the hotel.
Ideal Profile
The preferred candidate has 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience in hospitality, stewarding or food service operations. A strong understanding of food hygiene, equipment care and workplace safety is essential. The individual should be comfortable leading a team in a fast-paced and noisy environment while maintaining attention to detail and a constructive attitude.
