Job Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing PLC and BMS systems, ensuring smooth installation, testing, and commissioning in line with project specifications. The role also includes stakeholder coordination, team supervision, documentation, and technical problem-solving to ensure successful delivery and handover of automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise on-site activities involving PLC/BMS implementation in compliance with project timelines and quality standards
* Provide technical oversight for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and drives
* Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards in collaboration with internal teams and external contractors
* Liaise with designers, drafters, and subcontractors to develop shop drawings, installation plans, and cable schedules
* Prepare technical reports including incident root cause analysis, system improvements, and variation documentation
* Drive operational excellence through improvements in logic, communication, and system controls
* Participate in testing and commissioning activities to ensure functionality and integration
* Coordinate project documentation such as submittals, inspection records, O&M manuals, and ensure secure archiving
* Review and validate design documents and participate in change management during design review meetings
* Provide technical leadership to field teams and ensure effective shift handovers and escalation handling
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electromechanical, or Electronic Engineering
* Minimum 5 years experience in automation with at least 3 years in PLC/BMS project execution
* Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, SCADA (WinCC), HMIs, and drives
* Familiar with Johnson Controls BMS systems (Facility Explorer) and electromechanical integrations
* Skilled in PLC diagnostics, programming, and service
* Knowledge of AutoCAD, QS/QC processes, and UAE code of practice
* Proficient in MS Office with strong project coordination and reporting skills
* UAE Driving License required
