Security Systems Engineer – Site Configuration & Commissioning
DP World UAE is hiring a Security Systems Engineer to support the planning, configuration, and commissioning of integrated security solutions across various infrastructure projects. Based in Dubai, this role will serve as a technical liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance, quality, and the timely execution of complex security system implementations.

What Does a Security Systems Engineer Do?
- Lead configuration, site handling, and commissioning tasks for integrated security systems
- Act as the main point of contact between DP World, We One Department, contractors, and consultants throughout project execution
- Define and communicate technical specifications, interface clarifications, and compliance expectations
- Conduct site surveys, prepare assessment reports, and propose suitable solutions based on operational requirements
- Monitor project progress through daily, weekly, and monthly reports and ensure alignment with quality standards and project KPIs
- Coordinate risk assessments, workshops, and security planning with internal and external teams
- Represent We One’s interests in all DP World-related projects and ensure scope is clearly defined and delivered
- Collaborate with DP World security teams and engineering offices to ensure effective integration and performance of all deployed systems
- Provide detailed reporting and participate in project reviews and follow-up meetings as required
- Handle special assignments from the Line Manager and support ad hoc project requests
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Oversee implementation of security systems including CCTV, access control, and integrated monitoring solutions
- Ensure functional specifications align with stakeholder expectations and operational objectives
- Manage cross-departmental communication to resolve technical and operational challenges
- Track project milestones and escalate issues to maintain schedule compliance
- Perform quality checks on ongoing installations and commissioning activities
- Lead coordination efforts for security workshops and technical meetings
- Support proposal development and recommend upgrades based on site evaluations and security gaps
What Skills Are Needed for a Security Systems Engineer in Dubai?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Communication, Electrical, or IT Engineering
- PMP certification is preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the security engineering industry, including at least 3 years in integrated systems commissioning and configuration
- Background in project execution for large-scale infrastructure or logistics environments preferred
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and integration platforms
- Familiarity with project monitoring tools and quality assurance methods
- Strong understanding of security protocols and system lifecycle management
- Proficiency in reporting and documentation software (e.g., MS Office, project tracking tools)
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
