What Does an AV Support Contractor Do in New York?
As an onsite AV Support Contractor, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating a range of AV and VTC equipment in Deloitte conference rooms. This includes setup, testing, maintenance, and support of audio-visual technologies used during presentations, meetings, and strategic briefings. You\'ll interact with both technical teams and C-suite stakeholders, ensuring seamless delivery of multimedia content.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Set up and operate conference room AV equipment for PowerPoint, video, and overhead presentations
- Provide daily AV/VTC support before, during, and after Deloitte meetings
- Maintain and troubleshoot cameras, microphones, recording tools, playback, and duplication devices
- Conduct routine operational tests and diagnose faults across AV/VTC systems
- Reserve and coordinate AV setups with local and remote teams using internal scheduling tools
- Ensure all systems are functioning prior to key meetings and maintain high uptime standards
- Deliver technical briefings and handle client-facing tasks with executive-level professionalism
What Qualifications Are Needed for AV Support Contractors in NYC?
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in AV or technology support (3+ years with an advanced degree)
- Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Experience supporting senior executives and technical infrastructure
Skills:
- Proficient in troubleshooting AV systems, Windows, iOS, Crestron, collaboration tools, and AR/VR
- Ability to follow established technical standards and document operational procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication with executive presence
- Ability to work independently onsite and manage time across multiple conference spaces
- Understanding of data visualization, exponential technology, or innovation practices is a plus
- Familiarity with industries like Energy, Resources, Utilities, or Manufacturing is desirable
- Team-oriented, service-minded attitude with a focus on proactive client support
