Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement category strategies for MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, ELV, and specialist systems
* Establish preferred supplier frameworks, rate contracts, and long-term agreements
* Drive standardization, value engineering, and lifecycle cost optimization initiatives
* Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost drivers within the MEP category
* Oversee end-to-end procurement for major MEP packages across multiple projects
* Lead RFQs and RFPs, conduct technical and commercial evaluations, and manage high-value negotiations
* Finalize vendor selection, contracts, payment terms, warranties, and service-level agreements
* Ensure procurement activities align with project timelines, budgets, and cash flow plans
* Partner with MEP engineers, project managers, design consultants, quantity surveyors, and finance teams
* Manage relationships with key suppliers, OEMs, subcontractors, and system integrators
* Monitor supplier performance, delivery, quality, and compliance metrics
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks, and audit requirements
* Lead, mentor, and develop procurement engineers and category team members
* Prepare procurement dashboards, reports, and strategic updates for senior management
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
* 12–18 years of experience in MEP procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing
* Proven experience managing high-value MEP packages for large-scale construction projects
* Strong exposure to UAE or GCC MEP markets and vendor ecosystems
* Deep expertise in MEP systems, specifications, and procurement best practices
* Strong commercial acumen with proven contract negotiation and cost management skills
* Experience in category strategy development and supplier consolidation
* Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar
* Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities
