Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-line support for mission-critical systems in the emergency services sector
- Handle both reactive troubleshooting and proactive system enhancements to meet SLA requirements
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring system stability and reliability
- Implement planned upgrades and activities outside normal operational hours to minimize disruptions
- Develop and manage documentation and procedures for incident resolution and operational efficiency
- Support configuration, installation, and maintenance of PCs and software applications
- Troubleshoot and maintain Windows Server environments, network protocols, and SQL databases
- Ensure seamless operation of remote access services, networking hardware, and system connectivity
Required Skills and Experience
Education & Certifications
- CCNA and/or CCNP certification is a plus
Experience
- Strong background in Windows Server administration (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022)
- Experience with SQL Server, cluster failover, and Hyper-V virtualization
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and SQL
- Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN hardware, TCP/IP, and network protocols
- Familiarity with remote access services such as RDP and Windows networking
- Practical experience in supporting bespoke applications and call management software
Technical Skills
- Expertise in networking principles, including Tetra & LTE communications
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for diagnosing system issues
- Ability to configure, install, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure
