What Does a D365 Supply Chain Functional Consultant Do?
As a D365 Supply Chain Functional Consultant at Dicetek, you will work directly with business users and project teams to translate operational needs into effective D365 SCM solutions. You will oversee the design, configuration, testing, and go-live phases of the implementation while ensuring alignment with business objectives and supply chain best practices.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Collaborate with business teams to gather and analyze supply chain requirements
- Design and configure D365 SCM modules including Inventory, Warehouse, Procurement, Production, and Transportation
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for business users
- Perform gap analysis, propose improvements, and develop functional specifications
- Support the full lifecycle implementation of D365 SCM – from blueprinting to go-live
- Troubleshoot system issues and recommend post-go-live enhancements
- Document solution configurations, changes, and user support materials
- Partner with technical consultants and other module owners to ensure integration
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align solutions with business goals
What Skills Are Required for a Supply Chain Functional Consultant in Dubai?
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, IT, Business, or related discipline
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate (preferred)
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in D365 SCM implementations and configuration
- Hands-on expertise in at least one of the following modules: Inventory, Warehouse, Procurement, Production, or Transportation
- Experience in full ERP implementation lifecycle, preferably Microsoft Dynamics
Functional Skills:
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes: order processing, inventory, procurement, and logistics
- Familiarity with D365 SCM integration with other modules like Finance or Retail
- Experience in writing functional specs, conducting testing, and delivering user training
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) is a plus
