Role Summary
The IT Strategy and Digital Transformation Manager is responsible for defining, executing, and monitoring the IT strategic roadmap in alignment with business and regulatory objectives. The role leads digital transformation initiatives, oversees IT project portfolios, and collaborates with business leaders to deliver innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the IT strategic plan aligned with the bank’s business objectives
Define and promote IT strategy, transformation plans, and measurable objectives
Lead digital transformation initiatives including cloud adoption, AI integration, and fintech collaboration
Drive change management initiatives in response to shifts in strategic direction
Oversee the IT project portfolio to ensure alignment with strategic goals and priorities
Conduct ongoing market, technology, and innovation trend analysis to inform strategy
Collaborate with business units to identify technology opportunities and requirements
Ensure IT department goals are aligned with enterprise-wide objectives
Monitor, measure, and report on the performance of IT strategy initiatives
Identify risks to strategy execution and recommend mitigation actions
Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, and control frameworks
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum 12 years of experience in IT strategy, transformation, project management, and business alignment
Strong experience in banking systems, digital transformation, and fintech ecosystems
Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide change and innovation programs
Technical Skills
Expertise in IT governance and control frameworks such as COBIT and ITIL
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and cloud computing strategies
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards including GDPR and PCI DSS
Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, SAFe
Familiarity with digital transformation technologies, AI initiatives, and cloud platforms
Professional Skills
Strong leadership capability with a hands-on, front-leading management style
Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive and stakeholder engagement
