Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 IT support for Windows/Linux operating systems, SQL databases, and network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to banking applications, including core banking systems such as Temenos T24, Finacle, or similar platforms.
- Handle incidents and service requests through ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
- Monitor system performance using tools like Splunk and Dynatrace, ensuring proactive issue detection and resolution.
- Collaborate with Level 1 and Level 3 support teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Support cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and virtualization platforms (VMware) as required.
- Work closely with business users and technical teams to identify, analyze, and resolve IT-related challenges.
- Maintain IT documentation, knowledge base articles, and incident reports to improve future troubleshooting and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements within the financial services environment.
- Provide training and guidance to Level 1 support teams to enhance overall IT service performance.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of IT support experience, with at least 1-2 years in an L2 support role.
- Prior experience in a retail banking or financial services environment is highly preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for operating systems, databases, and network infrastructure.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools and monitoring solutions for proactive system management.
- Preferred certifications: ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
