Job Overview
As Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of business-critical systems powered by Newgen technologies. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage system configuration and troubleshooting, and deliver robust solutions using Java, APIs, and container-based technologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide functional and technical support for Newgen-based applications and tools
* Design, develop, and maintain custom modules using Java, JSP, Servlets, and J2EE technologies
* Configure and administer Newgen BPM components such as OmniDocs, OmniFlow, and BAM reporting
* Develop RESTful and SOAP-based APIs for system integration with upstream and downstream applications
* Lead infrastructure and technical design aligned with agile and CI/CD methodologies
* Manage deployment pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
* Handle application installation, patching, data model configuration, and problem resolution
* Guide BPM and ECM teams through standardized project delivery processes
* Automate key workflows and enhance system scalability through cloud-native practices
* Collaborate with stakeholders and ensure adherence to design patterns and system architecture
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
* 9+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise application development
* Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL/Oracle, and integration design patterns
* Strong command of Newgen stack: OmniDocs, OmniFlow, Process Manager, BAM, APIs
* Experience in web development frameworks like React, Angular, and Next JS
* Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Kubernetes
* Understanding of application servers: JBoss, Apache Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic
* Hands-on experience with databases like MSSQL, Oracle, Postgres, or DB2
* Good knowledge of cloud environments (Azure/AWS) and containerization technologies
* Experience working in Agile methodology and CI/CD environments
