Position Overview
Assistant Headteacher at GEMS Founders School in Dubai plays a vital leadership role in strengthening teaching quality, improving student outcomes, and supporting whole-school development within a British curriculum environment. This role works closely with the Principal and senior leadership team to drive instructional excellence, mentor teachers, and ensure the highest standards of education and student wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and model outstanding classroom teaching aligned with GEMS Teaching and Learning policies.
* Support the Principal and senior leadership team in school improvement initiatives and strategic planning.
* Mentor and coach teachers to ensure high standards of instruction, assessment, and inclusive teaching practices.
* Use student data and assessment insights to drive improved academic performance and progress.
* Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and a strong school culture aligned with the values of GEMS Founders School.
* Assist in maintaining inspection readiness aligned with KHDA and international education standards.
* Support the development and implementation of curriculum strategies that enhance student learning outcomes.
* Foster effective communication with staff, students, parents, and external stakeholders.
* Contribute to building a collaborative school community focused on continuous improvement.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor of Education or relevant degree with recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE or equivalent.
* Proven leadership and management experience within a school environment.
* Strong understanding of curriculum design, assessment strategies, and student progress tracking.
* Experience supporting staff development and instructional coaching.
* Demonstrated ability to promote inclusive education and positive behaviour management.
* Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
