Homeroom Teacher - Primary Learning in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates is a Primary-Secondary Education opportunity for a qualified educator who can deliver inclusive, inspiring lessons and help every child achieve meaningful academic and personal progress. Aldar Education is hiring homeroom teachers for its expanding network of UAE schools to provide high-quality classroom instruction, effective assessment, positive behaviour support, and strong engagement with families and colleagues.

Role Context

The Homeroom Teacher will take responsibility for the learning, wellbeing, and development of an assigned class. The role requires thoughtful curriculum planning, differentiated teaching, progress monitoring, classroom leadership, and the effective use of resources to support students with


varied abilities and language needs.

The teacher will create a welcoming environment where children develop confidence, independence, curiosity, and responsible learning habits. Close cooperation with curriculum teams, support staff, parents, and specialist professionals will ensure that each student receives appropriate academic and pastoral support.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging homeroom lessons that meet curriculum expectations and support clear learning outcomes.
* Create inclusive learning experiences that enable students across the full ability range to participate and progress.
* Organise classroom resources, displays, routines, and learning areas to maintain a positive and stimulating environment.
* Use enthusiastic and imaginative teaching approaches to motivate students and encourage independent learning.
* Adapt activities, questioning, resources, and support according to individual learning needs and language proficiency.
* Maintain responsibility for the academic, personal, and social progress of the assigned class.
* Observe, assess, and record student development in accordance with school assessment requirements.
* Use Target Tracker and other assessment evidence to identify learning gaps and plan suitable intervention.
* Review the effectiveness of lessons and adjust teaching, classroom provision, and curriculum planning accordingly.
* Provide constructive feedback that enables students to understand their achievement and next learning steps.
* Communicate clearly with parents and carers regarding progress, wellbeing, behaviour, and support requirements.
* Participate in Parent Teacher Conferences and other scheduled meetings.
* Develop respectful and productive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and the wider school community.
* Collaborate with other teachers to plan lessons, assessments, resources, and curriculum activities.
* Work cooperatively with teaching assistants and curriculum support staff to strengthen student development.
* Meet with speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists, and other specialists when required.
* Embed the school\'s Teacher and Learner DNA language, attitudes, and values across daily classroom practice.
* Apply the school behaviour policy consistently and fairly.
* Manage the classroom using approaches appropriate to students\' ages, needs, and development.
* Maintain high expectations for conduct, effort, self-control, respect, and independence.
* Exercise appropriate authority and address behavioural concerns promptly within school procedures.
* Model the professionalism, attitudes, values, and conduct expected from students.
* Participate in curriculum action groups supporting planning, assessment, resource development, and special events.
* Record and communicate safeguarding or wellbeing concerns through approved systems, including CPOMS where applicable.
* Lead one weekly extracurricular activity during each school term.
* Support school outings, celebrations, events, and activities that may occasionally take place during evenings or weekends.
* Carry out school duties as assigned and contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.
* Follow all safeguarding, child-protection, health and safety, and professional conduct requirements.

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor\'s degree in Education or a subject relevant to the assigned teaching phase.
* PGCE or another recognised professional teaching qualification.
* Minimum 1-2 years of classroom teaching experience.
* Previous experience supporting students for whom English is not their first language.
* Good understanding of curriculum planning, classroom instruction, assessment, and intervention.
* Ability to differentiate teaching for learners with varying academic abilities and educational needs.
* Strong classroom organisation and behaviour-management skills.
* Experience using student data to inform planning and improve learning outcomes.
* Passion for teaching and a clear commitment to educating the whole child.
* High professional standards and consistent consideration for student wellbeing.
* Recent and sustained involvement in extracurricular or enrichment activities.
* Strong communication skills when working with children, parents, colleagues, and specialist professionals.
* Respect for every member of the school community regardless of position, gender, age, nationality, or background.
* Positive, adaptable, and solution-focused approach to school life.
* Genuine appreciation of UAE culture, traditions, and regional values.
* Willingness to reside in the same emirate as the assigned school.
