The Consultant Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is responsible for diagnosing and managing patients with physical impairments, injuries, and chronic conditions, ensuring comprehensive rehabilitation strategies that enhance mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed assessments of patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and functional impairments
* Design and implement personalized rehabilitation programs based on patient-specific needs and goals
* Apply treatment techniques such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and assistive device prescription
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and psychologists
* Provide patient and family education on recovery plans, injury prevention, and long-term health strategies
* Monitor patient progress through regular evaluations and adjust treatment plans accordingly
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation aligned with healthcare standards and protocols
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree with specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
* Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
* Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in hospital or rehabilitation settings
* Strong understanding of modern rehabilitation techniques and technologies
* Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
* Excellent communication and patient management skills
* Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage
