Position Overview
GMG is seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager – IT to lead category management and sourcing activities for technology-related procurement across the organization. This role will oversee supplier relationships, drive cost efficiency, and ensure that procurement strategies are fully aligned with GMG’s business and digital transformation goals. The successful candidate will possess strong commercial, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, with proven experience managing IT procurement categories within large organizations.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement IT category management strategies aligned with GMG’s business objectives.
* Drive cost optimization through supplier rationalization, contract renegotiation, and performance benchmarking.
* Lead RFx processes, manage tendering, and evaluate proposals to ensure best value outcomes.
* Oversee supplier relationships, ensuring delivery performance and service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.
* Collaborate with IT, Finance, and senior management to balance cost, quality, and service delivery.
* Monitor and enforce compliance with GMG’s procurement policies, standards, and governance framework.
* Track procurement KPIs including cost savings, cycle times, and supplier performance metrics.
* Conduct market research and price forecasting to anticipate market trends, risks, and inflationary pressures.
* Support contract lifecycle management, ensuring timely renewals and risk mitigation.
* Lead digital procurement initiatives leveraging ERP and e-sourcing tools.
* Mentor procurement team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and commercial excellence.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
* Professional certifications such as CIPS or CPP are preferred.
* Minimum 8 years of experience in IT procurement or category management, ideally within a multinational or large-scale organization.
* Proven record in cost optimization, supplier performance management, and contract negotiation.
* Strong understanding of IT hardware, software, cloud services, and licensing models.
* Proficiency in ERP and procurement systems such as COUPA, SAP S/4HANA, or Oracle.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
* Ability to manage complex projects and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
