Role Context
ICT, ELV and AV projects require careful coordination between technical design, product selection, site conditions and commercial objectives. This position will ensure that proposed solutions are technically compliant, practical to install and cost effective.
The engineer will control pre-construction activities and support projects through installation, testing and commissioning. Accurate planning and documentation will help teams deliver reliable systems within approved schedules and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
The role will manage technical information from initial submittals and design reviews through final project records and handover documentation.
* Prepare material submittals and method statements.
* Develop operation and maintenance manuals and training documents.
* Produce documentation for structured cabling and security systems.
* Support access control, AV, BGM and GRMS system requirements.
* Meet consultants to review submittals and clarify technical matters.
* Check drafting-team drawings before consultant submission.
* Select suitable products that meet tender and site requirements.
* Prepare technical proposals, schematics and system architectures.
* Complete compliance statements and supporting design documentation.
* Attend client meetings and deliver technical presentations.
* Maintain effective relationships with clients, vendors and partners.
* Apply complex design principles to optimise resources and technology.
* Maintain organised records of completed project documentation.
* Monitor material submittals, drawings and other pre-construction tasks.
* Coordinate resource requirements with the Project Head.
* Ensure designs comply with authority and manufacturer standards.
* Monitor implementation quality during installation and commissioning.
* Deliver assigned projects on schedule with limited supervision.
* Track project effort, costs, budgets, schedules and personnel plans.
* Apply commercial awareness when evaluating technical decisions.
Ideal Profile
Candidates should hold a bachelor\'s degree in Information Technology, Communications, Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline. PMP certification is required.
Applicants must possess seven to ten years of experience implementing ICT, ELV and AV projects, including structured cabling, security, audio-visual and related integrated systems. Hands-on installation, testing and commissioning experience is essential.
Technical certification or training on recognised ICT, ELV or AV systems is expected. Candidates must understand applicable standards, codes, procedures and regulations and be able to manage work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
