Key Responsibilities

* Measure and price works accurately using contract drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and approved project documentation.
* Manage post-contract quantity surveying activities including interim payments, final payments, variations, commercial correspondence, claims, and cash flow inputs.
* Review contractual requirements and advise project teams on commercial and contractual matters.
* Check the completeness, accuracy, and validity of contractor valuations, payment applications, and supporting documents.
* Audit contractor payments and verify measured work against contract terms, drawings, site progress, and approved quantities.
* Prepare and assess variations, dayworks, cost adjustments, claim settlements, and commercial recommendations.
* Monitor contract final cost estimates, expenditure records, financial updates, and project cost movements.
* Review, negotiate, and support the settlement of claims in coordination with project and commercial leadership.
* Advise on contractor resource allocation where it affects productivity, progress, cost, or contractual performance.
* Maintain clear records of measured works, payment history, correspondence, variations, claims, and cost-related documentation.
* Prepare monthly financial statements, commercial reports, and cost summaries for management review.
* Coordinate and monitor activities within the quantity surveying team to support accurate and timely commercial deliverables.
* Work with engineers, project managers, contractors, and client representatives to resolve commercial issues and maintain transparent contract administration.

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a closely related discipline.
* Minimum 8 years of quantity surveying experience on large infrastructure, civil engineering, roads, utilities, or construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of pre-contract and post-contract administration, especially valuation, variation, payment, claims, and final account processes.
* Clear understanding of construction contract documents, commercial terms, drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
* Ability to check measured works, assess payment applications, and prepare cost reports with accuracy.
* UAE authority approval as a Quantity Surveyor is preferred.
* Familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage for reviewing drawings and measurement-related details.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and make clear commercial assessments.
* Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain cost, contract, and payment matters logically to management and project teams.
* Detail-focused approach with strong recordkeeping, commercial discipline, and commitment to contractual compliance.
