What Does a Salesforce CPQ Consultant Do?
As a Salesforce CPQ Consultant at Deloitte, you will lead end-to-end CPQ solution implementation for clients across industries. Your role will focus on product configuration, pricing strategies, guided selling, quote templates, approval flows, and more, enabling clients to streamline their sales operations and enhance quoting accuracy. You’ll be embedded within Deloitte’s Customer and Marketing portfolio, collaborating with experts in sales excellence, digital experiences, and commercial strategy.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Lead full-cycle implementation of Salesforce CPQ Cloud solutions, including installation, configuration, testing, and deployment
- Set up complex product structures such as standalone, bundled, and nested products with attributes and rules
- Define and implement product pricing, discounting strategies, and guided selling paths
- Design and configure quote templates, including multi-language support and custom layout adjustments
- Configure advanced approval processes at both quote and line-item levels
- Work closely with cross-functional teams on Salesforce customization, integration, and CPQ best practices
- Support client teams through workshops, documentation, demos, and training
- Collaborate with the DigitalMix and Commercial Excellence teams to ensure solution alignment with broader digital transformation goals
What Skills Are Required for a Salesforce CPQ Consultant in Mumbai?
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Applications, or related fields
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce CPQ Cloud (Steelbrick)
- Experience in Salesforce configuration, customization, and platform tools
- Strong knowledge in Salesforce CPQ product setup, pricing rules, quote templates, and advanced approval flows
- Experience in installation and post-installation steps for CPQ modules
- Ability to work in Agile environments with a problem-solving mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce CPQ Specialist Certification
- Knowledge of Salesforce CPQ Billing and Order Management
- Familiarity with Salesforce integration strategies using APIs and middleware
- Understanding of omni-channel sales strategy and customer lifecycle management
