Job Overview
As Senior Manager – Data Architecture and Engineering, you will shape the future of data at Majid Al Futtaim. You will design a unified enterprise data model, drive governance, and champion interoperability across platforms and business units. This role is critical to building a secure, efficient, and value-driven data infrastructure that supports real-time decision-making, analytics, and scalable AI/ML use cases.
What You’ll Do
* Lead the creation and refinement of a scalable enterprise data architecture and logical/physical data models
* Drive alignment of data technology standards across departments to ensure platform consistency and reusability
* Establish and execute robust governance frameworks for data quality, privacy, and security compliance
* Oversee design and execution of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration workflows across systems
* Evaluate and implement modern cloud-native technologies to future-proof the data ecosystem
* Act as a key liaison between business units and engineering teams to translate data needs into actionable solutions
* Support analytics, business intelligence, and AI teams with structured, high-quality data environments
* Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and resolve data bottlenecks, while promoting a data-first culture
* Drive data harmonization efforts and enable centralized access through scalable data platforms
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor\'s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
* 12–15 years of experience in enterprise data management, data architecture, or analytics leadership
* Strong expertise in enterprise-wide data modeling, metadata management, and governance policies
* Deep experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery)
* Proven ability to build and scale data architectures across diverse business domains
* Track record of leading high-performance data teams and managing large-scale transformation projects
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative leadership style
* Knowledge of regulatory data standards and experience enforcing data privacy across jurisdictions
