Senior Systems Administrator

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and configure internal systems to ensure optimal performance and stability
- Troubleshoot technical issues, provide diagnostic assistance, and implement effective solutions
- Identify, plan, and execute system upgrades, patches, and infrastructure enhancements
- Research and deploy fixes, ensuring seamless integration of new applications across the business
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls while mentoring new system users
- Oversee server performance, backup jobs, and overall system operations to prevent downtime
- Ensure proper technical documentation and maintain organized records for future reference
- Design and implement monitoring, configuration management, and automated reporting functions
- Provide after-hours support for infrastructure-related emergencies and occasional weekend maintenance
Required Skills and Experience
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor\'s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Microsoft Certification (MCSE) or equivalent certification preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Senior Systems Administrator, preferably with supervisory experience
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware Cloud Director and Microsoft Azure
- Expertise in managing large-scale Windows & Linux server infrastructures (1000+ servers)
- Experience with server virtualization using VMware ESX, Microsoft Hyper-V, or equivalent technologies
- Strong background in system security practices and network configurations
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in managing Active Directory, LDAP user and group administration, and Group Policy configuration
- Strong knowledge of web server administration including Microsoft IIS, Apache, and NGINX
- Experience with Dell SourceOne and Object Storage setup
- Advanced networking skills, including IP addressing, DNS, VPNs, load balancing, and firewalls
- Expertise in cloud-based infrastructure services such as EC2, S3, VPC, Kubernetes, IAM, and CloudFormation/Terraform
- Hands-on experience in cloud migrations, hybrid infrastructures, and cloud security best practices
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible
