Software QA Engineer
Dicetek is seeking an experienced Software QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in functional software testing, test case design, and defect reporting, ensuring software applications meet high-quality standards.
Job Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute functional test cases for software applications
- Ensure software quality by identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using testing tools such as JIRA or TestRail
- Develop and maintain test plans, test scripts, and test cases to validate software functionality
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and improve testing strategies
- Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure software reliability and performance
- Participate in Agile and Scrum methodologies to enhance software testing processes
- Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on testing best practices
- Perform root cause analysis and regression testing to ensure defect resolution
- Maintain detailed documentation of test results, defects, and quality reports
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 6 to 7 years of experience in functional software testing
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks is a plus
- Proficient in writing test cases and executing functional, regression, and exploratory testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify software defects
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documenting test results and issues
