About the role
As a Specialist in IT Applications, you will ensure the smooth operation of all resort software systems at Atlantis Dubai. You will support Assistant Managers by troubleshooting application and in-room technology issues, escalating problems to vendors, documenting troubleshooting articles, and managing application upgrades and event setups.
About you
We prefer candidates with a Diploma in Computer Science or a related field, along with knowledge of IT processes and administrative tasks. Strong experience in application support for hospitality solutions and integrations is essential, along with familiarity with network switching, routing, and cable management. Excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritize multiple workloads, and handle last-minute requests are crucial.
Other desirable skills/qualifications:
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work well both in teams and independently
- Experience with Opera and Simphony
- Background in guest support for room technology
- ITIL or CoBIT knowledge is a plus
- Understanding of IT security concepts
- Experience with Ethernet networking, LAN/WAN technologies, the OSI model, TCP/IP, switching, routing, Wi-Fi, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs
