This is a senior-level position focused on owning the architecture, integration, and end-to-end delivery of a robust VAM platform within a large-scale banking environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with digital banking infrastructure, reconciliation systems, SWIFT/ISO messaging standards, and virtual ledger technology.

Position Summary
The VAM Lead will take ownership of the complete technical architecture and execution of virtual account management systems, ensuring seamless integration with core banking and payment infrastructure. This includes real-time processing, compliance, reconciliation, and user experience across API channels and digital platforms. The role also involves managing internal teams and third-party vendors to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions.
What You’ll Do
* Architect and lead end-to-end delivery of the Virtual Account Management system
* Integrate VAM with core banking, payments, reconciliation platforms, and digital banking channels
* Ensure real-time and batch transaction processing with virtual-to-real mapping accuracy
* Implement messaging standards such as ISO 20022 and MT101 for seamless data exchange
* Collaborate with corporate product teams to align system capabilities with customer requirements
* Lead a team of engineers and manage external vendors for high-quality platform development
* Maintain documentation including system architecture, data flows, and compliance runbooks
* Ensure platform readiness for SIT, UAT, and production with minimal downtime
* Monitor post-launch performance and drive continuous improvement and system tuning
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
* 8+ years of experience in banking IT, with at least 3 years leading VAM or cash management systems
* Deep knowledge of transaction banking, liquidity tools, and virtual ledger platforms
* Proficient in banking communication standards (SWIFT MT messages, ISO 20022)
* Hands-on experience with Java, Oracle DB, SOAP/REST APIs, XML/JSON, and message queues (Kafka, MQ)
* Familiarity with core banking system architectures and digital channel integrations
* Excellent leadership, vendor coordination, and communication skills
