Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage physical and virtual servers on enterprise hardware and Windows virtualization platforms.
- Plan, implement, install, migrate, and upgrade host hypervisors and virtualization managers.
- Manage multiple UNIX flavors, including RedHat Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, Oracle Linux, and Windows environments.
- Perform capacity planning, vendor management, business analysis, and user consultations to align IT infrastructure with business requirements.
- Optimize and secure 3-tier application models (Web, App, DB servers) to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
- Maintain system documentation, including diagrams, standard operating procedures, inventory, and work instructions.
- Implement and manage backup solutions such as Acronis Cyber Backup, ensuring compliance with RPO and RTO standards.
- Work extensively with Logical Volume Manager (LVM) and manage filesystems such as ext4, xfs, and NFS.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for operating systems, virtualization, and related services, troubleshooting issues effectively.
- Manage user accounts, access controls, and customize user environments as per organizational policies.
- Implement server hardening measures to meet security standards and enforce compliance for DMZ zone servers.
- Utilize PAM for centralized login management across multiple servers.
- Administer DLP Dell Synergy, HP 3PAR 7200, HP 3PAR 8200 storage, and SAN switch management for host clusters.
- Support infrastructure operations across on-premises data centers, private, and public cloud environments.
- Manage and monitor critical applications such as Single Sign-On, Type Approval, CRM, IVR, and Oracle EBS.
- Use Zabbix monitoring tools to proactively monitor infrastructure and reduce system downtime.
Requirements
- Windows Certified Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a high-availability, critical IT environment.
- Strong experience in infrastructure operations, architecture, deployment, and data center management.
- Ability to work in a 24x7 environment and provide immediate support when required.
- Expertise in storage and SAN switch management, including provisioning and decommissioning LUNs.
- Experience in security hardening and compliance for enterprise IT environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in system administration and virtualization.
