**Responsibilities:**
* **Process Safety Management (PSM) Implementation:** Assisting the Head of Safety and Loss Prevention Senior Engineer in implementing and monitoring the PSM system. This includes developing documentation, conducting risk studies, and ensuring compliance with QAFCO\'s safety procedures.
* **Risk Assessment and Analysis:** Participating in and leading various Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) studies, such as HAZOP, SIL, QRA, LOPA, FMEA, MHA/DHA, dispersion studies, and safety case studies.
* **Standard Development and Compliance:** Developing and maintaining company Process Safety Specifications and Standards. Ensuring operational and project compliance with PSM requirements and best practices.
* **Procurement and Supplier Evaluation:** Providing specifications for equipment and services procurement, evaluating bids, and recommending suppliers based on process safety requirements.
* **Team Coordination and Communication:** Coordinating activities within the Process Safety group, leading process safety campaigns, and collaborating with various teams (operations, projects) to achieve safety objectives.
* **Performance Monitoring and Reporting:** Developing and implementing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), generating and reviewing weekly and monthly PSM reports.
* **Incident Investigation:** Leading and participating in process safety incident investigations, identifying root causes, and developing action plans to prevent recurrence.
* **Hazard Mitigation:** Developing recommendations for process changes to mitigate or eliminate hazards and meet risk reduction objectives.
* **Staying Current:** Keeping informed of technological advancements and best practices in process safety.
**Required Qualifications:**
* Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred).
* Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, Process Safety Management, Incident Investigations) are desirable.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role within the fertilizer, petrochemicals, or oil & gas industry.
* Excellent supervisory skills.
* Knowledge of codes, standards, and recommended practices for PSM.
* Strong engineering judgment, hazard assessment skills, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
* Proficiency in standard PC applications and excellent English communication and technical report writing skills.
