Role Context
Working within the Business Intelligence and Analytics team, the developer will connect data from multiple enterprise platforms and present it through accurate, secure, and
responsive Power BI solutions. The position supports faster reporting, clearer performance visibility, and better use of data across business functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, test, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
* Build reusable datasets that support operational, financial, and management reporting needs.
* Connect reporting solutions to SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, application programming interfaces, and cloud databases.
* Clean, combine, reshape, and validate source data using Power Query and the M language.
* Create efficient data models using star schemas, defined relationships, and calculated tables.
* Write DAX measures and calculated columns for key performance indicators and business rules.
* Gather reporting requirements and convert them into practical Business Intelligence solutions.
* Work with stakeholders to define calculations, reporting dimensions, filters, and performance measures.
* Publish approved content to Power BI Service and administer reports through organized workspaces.
* Configure scheduled refreshes and manage Power BI Gateways for reliable data availability.
* Apply row-level security and access controls to protect sensitive business information.
* Investigate data discrepancies and resolve problems affecting report accuracy or completeness.
* Optimize dataset size, query folding, calculations, and visual design to improve performance.
* Validate data across source systems before releasing dashboards to business users.
* Document data flows, transformation logic, calculations, security rules, and deployment processes.
* Enhance existing reports to improve usability, speed, clarity, and decision-making value.
* Streamline Azure and AWS data-integration workflows to reduce refresh delays.
* Review and update metrics as business priorities and reporting requirements evolve.
