What You’ll Do
* Lead full-cycle planning, execution, and delivery of complex data initiatives using Databricks and Confluent Kafka
* Build and manage detailed roadmaps, resource plans, budgets, and deliverables
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams across data engineering, business units, vendors, and compliance
* Monitor project risks, control measures, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements including BCBS 239, GDPR, and CBUAE standards
* Drive real-time data stream project execution using Kafka (including kSQL, Kafka Connect, Schema Registry)
* Ensure project compliance with security, governance, and audit protocols
* Present updates to senior stakeholders, manage steering committee communications, and resolve escalations
* Ensure SLAs, pipeline uptime, and reporting compliance metrics are met
Ideal Profile
* 7+ years of experience in data project delivery within banking or financial services
* Proven track record in managing Databricks and Confluent Kafka platform implementations
* Solid grasp of data architecture, pipelines, governance, and compliance frameworks
* Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred), ETL tools (Data Factory, Informatica), and CI/CD pipelines
* Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
* Certification in PMP, Prince2, or Scrum Master preferred
* Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, BCBS 239, and CBUAE is highly desirable
* Bachelor\'s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
