The Geospatial Specialist will contribute practical GIS expertise to AI training and evaluation projects involving spatial databases, geoprocessing, map production, workflow automation, and geographic analysis. Assignments may require the specialist to create reference solutions, review model-generated GIS methods, test scripts, validate coordinate transformations, and explain spatial decisions.
The work requires careful control of projections, geometry, attribute data, topology, metadata, and processing logic. Each contribution should demonstrate how an experienced GIS professional approaches spatial problems, verifies data quality, selects appropriate analytical methods, and communicates results to technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, organize, and maintain spatial databases for geospatial projects.
* Validate geometry, attributes, metadata, coordinate systems, and spatial relationships.
* Identify missing records, invalid features, duplicate geometries, projection issues, and data-quality risks.
* Conduct advanced geoprocessing and spatial modeling using QGIS.
* Perform buffering, clipping, overlays, joins, intersections, dissolves, and proximity analysis.
* Develop spatial workflows that produce reliable and reproducible analytical results.
* Create, customize, and maintain QGIS plugins based on project requirements.
