Installation Project Manager - Site Delivery

Key Responsibilities

* Assume full accountability for installation safety, quality, productivity, cost, and final handover.
* Drive early site preparation and confirm that access, utilities, work fronts, and client deliverables are ready.
* Schedule client inspections, lead site audits, and close non-conformities within agreed deadlines.
* Review execution plans, manpower requirements, installation methods, and cost controls before delivery.
* Coordinate material receipt, inspection, storage, movement, and controlled release to installation teams.
* Define subcontractor scope, programme milestones, productivity targets, and handover requirements.
* Conduct progress meetings and site-coordination sessions to remove constraints and reduce operational waste.
* Allocate manpower, tools, equipment, and specialist resources in line with approved schedules and budgets.
* Track installation productivity and take corrective action when performance falls below plan.
* Identify variations and change orders, then document, submit, negotiate, and follow up on recoverable costs.
* Monitor workmanship and ensure installations comply with drawings, specifications, regulations, and quality plans.
* Oversee final testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, snag closure, and readiness for acceptance.
* Coordinate a complete and orderly project transfer to the maintenance team.
* Control progress reports, site records, time approvals, cost tracking, risk registers, and schedule revisions.
* Maintain environmental controls covering waste disposal and hazardous-material management.
* Serve as the primary client contact for installation execution and site-management matters.
* Manage expectations through accurate updates, prompt issue resolution, and clear ownership of commitments.
* Confirm that installers, commissioning personnel, and subcontractors are trained, certified, competent, and equipped.
* Lead coaching and performance development across installation and supervisory teams.
* Identify competency gaps and coordinate training actions with line managers, HR, Procurement, and subcontracting partners.
* Evaluate subcontractor performance against safety, quality, schedule, productivity, and commercial requirements.
* Foster an accountable site culture where teams work safely and maintain professional standards.

Ideal Profile

The preferred candidate holds a bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering and has eight to ten years of experience in project installation, engineering, or site supervision.

Success requires confident interpretation of technical drawings, practical knowledge of regulatory compliance, and strong capability in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting. The candidate should also demonstrate disciplined project reporting, commercial awareness, client-management ability, and experience leading multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
