Position Overview

The Legal Assistant supports the legal department by managing legal documentation, reviewing contracts, conducting research, and maintaining compliance with local regulations and internal policies. This role helps reduce legal risk, strengthens documentation accuracy, and ensures smooth legal operations across the business while supporting the wider objectives of Orient Insurance.

Key Responsibilities

* Review legal agreements, contracts, and related documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and UAE regulations
* Support the legal team in identifying legal risks and ensuring documentation aligns with insurance industry requirements
* Conduct legal research related to laws, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to insurance and corporate operations
* Assist in drafting, preparing, and editing contracts, agreements, legal correspondence, and supporting documentation
* Maintain well-organized legal files and ensure all legal records are updated, secure, and easily accessible
* Coordinate with internal departments to provide legal support and ensure timely handling of documentation requests
* Support compliance reviews and assist with internal legal reporting where required
* Handle confidential legal information with professionalism and discretion
* Ensure deadlines for legal submissions and documentation reviews are met accurately

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Law, or a related field
* Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or legal support professional is preferred
* Experience within the insurance sector is considered a strong advantage
* Strong understanding of legal terminology, contracts, and compliance principles
* Excellent attention to detail with strong accuracy in document review
* Good organizational and time-management skills in fast-paced environments
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working across departments
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools
* Ability to work independently while supporting collaborative legal operations
* Strong ethical standards and ability to manage confidential information responsibly
