Role Context
The Operations Project Manager will own operational projects for the Local Shops vertical, ensuring that the most important opportunities are properly scoped, prioritized, planned, and delivered across global, regional, and local teams. The role focuses on improving operational health, building stronger processes, enabling better reporting, and ensuring that project outcomes are measurable and commercially relevant.
This position requires a strong mix of operational understanding, project leadership, data analysis, process improvement, and senior stakeholder communication. The successful candidate will help shape operational roadmaps across vendor fulfilment, inventory management, product, logistics, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Drive operational health across the Local Shops vertical to support a smooth, reliable, and customer-focused order experience.
Own operational projects from scope to delivery, including cadence, cost tracking, expected impact, cross-functional support, and change management.
Ensure accurate data, reporting, dashboards, and measurement frameworks are in place to evaluate operational impact consistently.
Work closely with logistics, product, customer experience, commercial, and operations teams to improve the local shop value proposition.
Identify, prioritize, and structure business problems across mature and developing markets to support better efficiency, automation, and service quality.
Create clear proposals that define business issues, root causes, expected benefits, required resources, and implementation plans.
Lead experiments and pilots to validate operational opportunities before scaling larger project investments.
Support product rollouts as a project management partner, working with product teams on experimentation, go-to-market planning, launch readiness, and operational procedures.
Partner with Operations Managers to ensure processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures are prepared before new initiatives go live.
Work with Heads of Markets to scope quarterly business problems, size improvement opportunities, and prioritize initiatives based on impact.
Build strong relationships with regional and central teams to influence roadmaps across vendor fulfilment, inventory management, product, and logistics.
Plan and run workshops to understand operational challenges, brainstorm solutions, align stakeholders, and convert ideas into an actionable roadmap.
Analyze different data sources to identify trends, performance gaps, process failures, and improvement opportunities.
Present complex operational problems in a simple, structured, and data-supported way for senior stakeholders.
Communicate problem statements, root causes, business impact, proposed solutions, and resolution plans clearly to drive alignment and action.
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in e-commerce, food technology, marketplace operations, delivery platforms, Q-commerce, retail operations, or a related digital business environment.
The role requires strong experience working with multiple cross-functional stakeholders across logistics, product, customer experience, operations, regional teams, and market leadership.
The candidate should be confident working with data, data structures, reporting tools, dashboards, and operational performance metrics.
Strong process knowledge is essential, including the ability to create procedures, frameworks, workflows, business reviews, and implementation plans.
The successful candidate should have strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate different data sources to identify operational problems and improvement opportunities.
