Role Context

The Pricing Strategy Analyst will support regional pricing initiatives within talabat\'s Grocery and Retail vertical. The role focuses on understanding how customers respond to pricing, monitoring market conditions, identifying monetization opportunities, and recommending pricing actions that balance growth, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

This position requires strong commercial thinking, statistical understanding, and the ability to work with large datasets. The successful candidate will help improve pricing quality across markets through customer behavior analysis, A/B testing, demand optimization, revenue tracking, and stakeholder alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze customer behavior, price sensitivity, purchasing patterns, and market response using qualitative and quantitative methods.

Monitor competitive activity, market conditions, economic indicators, legal factors, and international pricing practices across assigned markets.

Develop tailored pricing strategies for different grocery and retail markets with a focus on improving customer experience, increasing order volume, and supporting profitable growth.

Identify new monetization opportunities by evaluating customer willingness to pay, market gaps, and product performance trends.

Support the assessment and rollout of new product features that can strengthen pricing, demand management, and customer value.

Track order revenue, customer metrics, pricing performance, and budget progress to ensure commercial targets are achieved.

Use performance insights to recommend corrective actions, growth opportunities, and optimization initiatives.

Plan, run, and evaluate A/B testing experiments to measure the impact of pricing changes and business hypotheses.

Convert experiment results into clear recommendations for regional teams, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Improve demand management by supporting better supply and demand balance across grocery and retail operations.

Work closely with product, operations, commercial, finance, and market teams to ensure pricing strategies are practical, aligned, and measurable.

Prepare concise analysis, reports, dashboards, and presentations that explain complex pricing insights in a clear business-focused manner.

Ideal Profile

Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant discipline is required.

Background in STEM, Economics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field is highly preferred.

Minimum 3 years of experience in an analytical role.

Experience in pricing, technology start-ups, consulting, e-commerce, marketplaces, grocery, retail, or commercial analytics will be an advantage.

Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data findings to customer experience, revenue growth, and profitability.

Good understanding of statistics, experimentation, customer behavior, and commercial performance indicators.

Proven ability to solve complex business problems using large and diverse datasets.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain analytical findings to different business audiences.

Confident stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across multiple markets and functions.

High attention to detail, structured thinking, and comfort working in a fast-moving digital commerce environment.
