Role Context
The Product Manager will join a small dedicated Beauty venture team within talabat’s New Ventures product organization. The role focuses on shaping a new product experience for beauty shoppers across the MENA region, where customer behavior is highly influenced by brand preference, product discovery, content quality, seasonal demand, shopper missions, premium expectations, and confidence in every purchase decision.
This is a high-ownership product role that combines startup-style execution with the scale of an established platform. The successful candidate will work closely with the Beauty Venture Leader, engineering, design, data, commercial, marketing, brand, and customer experience teams to build and improve features that support discovery, conversion, re-purchase, and long-term category growth.
Key Responsibilities
Champion product features that solve real beauty shopper needs across discovery, evaluation, re-purchase, brand-led browsing, and post-purchase confidence.
Build scalable shopping experiences that work across different beauty customer segments, category behaviors, and MENA market contexts.
Work closely with product, engineering, data, design, research, commercial, marketing, brand, and customer experience teams to deliver meaningful product improvements.
Build trust-based relationships across the product squad to improve decision quality, accelerate delivery, and keep execution focused.
Partner with design and research teams to uncover unmet beauty shopper needs, validate problems, and identify opportunities for better customer experience.
Collaborate with commercial, marketing, and brand teams to define and launch go-to-market plans for new beauty features and category experiences.
Coordinate with other product teams to ensure talabat Beauty is aligned with the broader customer lifecycle across discovery, purchase, delivery, and retention.
Lead product discovery from problem framing through research, analysis, ideation, prototyping, testing, and solution validation.
Study beauty shoppers deeply, including how they discover products, compare brands, evaluate quality, build trust, respond to content, and decide to re-buy.
Combine customer interviews, data analysis, market research, and category insights to identify and de-risk product opportunities.
Rapidly ideate, prototype, and test solutions that help customers discover, decide, purchase, and re-order beauty products with ease.
Define and evolve product strategy while balancing customer experience, commercial potential, technical feasibility, and squad KPIs.
Prioritize problems and solutions based on customer needs, business impact, category growth, and product performance.
Enhance and scale the core beauty shopping journey through continuous iteration, experimentation, and evidence-based product decisions.
Own the product roadmap for assigned beauty initiatives, ensuring alignment with the overall talabat Beauty strategy and leadership expectations.
Use AI tools to prototype faster, pressure-test ideas, improve product thinking, and support more efficient product discovery.
Keep teams unblocked by maintaining clear requirements, strong communication, disciplined follow-up, and practical delivery planning.
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in digital product management.
Experience launching products to market is required, ideally including at least one 0 to 1 launch such as a new vertical, new marketplace, new business model, or new consumer product experience.
The candidate should be comfortable using AI as a builder, including prototyping ideas, testing concepts quickly, and using shared context tools to improve speed and clarity.
Strong product thinking around AI is also important, especially the ability to identify where AI can genuinely improve customer experience, internal productivity, or product quality.
Experience with content-heavy, discovery-led, or merchandising-driven products will be highly valuable, especially where product navigation, category structure, hero products, seasonality, assortment, and shopper missions matter.
The role suits someone who can operate in ambiguity, form strong opinions with incomplete information, test assumptions, and adjust direction when evidence changes.
The candidate should be confident influencing partner teams without direct authority, including engineering platforms, commercial teams, brand teams, marketing teams, and other product groups.
Strong understanding of Agile product management is required, along with knowledge of how empowered product teams operate.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders and participate in meaningful technical discussions with engineers.
The successful candidate should be comfortable defining solutions through research, data analysis, stakeholder input, and customer feedback.
Experience with Jira and structured product delivery tools is preferred.
Background in e-commerce, marketplace, Q-commerce, consumer apps, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or content-led shopping experiences will be a strong advantage.
