Role Context
The Product Manager will join talabat’s New Ventures organization to shape the next generation of consumer products across emerging categories and business models. This role involves working on new opportunities that may not yet exist on the platform, where customer behavior, supply models, unit economics, competitive dynamics, and growth loops need to be understood quickly and tested with discipline.
This is a 0 to 1 product role with startup-style speed inside an established digital platform. The successful candidate will work directly with venture leaders and dedicated product, engineering, design, data, commercial, brand, and customer experience counterparts to build products that solve real shopper needs and support scalable business growth across MENA markets.
Key Responsibilities
Champion product features that solve real shopper needs across acquisition, discovery, conversion, retention, repeat behavior, and venture-specific customer journeys.
Build scalable product experiences that work across different shopper segments, supply conditions, commercial models, and MENA market contexts.
Work closely with product, engineering, data, design, research, commercial, marketing, brand, and customer experience teams to build and ship meaningful features.
Develop strong relationships across product squads to accelerate execution, improve decision quality, and maintain a high standard of collaboration.
Partner with design and research teams to uncover unmet shopper needs, validate customer problems, and identify product opportunities.
Collaborate with commercial, marketing, and brand teams to define go-to-market plans for new ventures, product launches, and growth initiatives.
Coordinate with other product teams to ensure each new venture aligns with talabat’s end-to-end customer lifecycle.
Lead product discovery from problem framing through research, data analysis, ideation, prototyping, testing, and solution validation.
Build deep understanding of the shopper for each venture, including what customers value, how they discover products, how they purchase, and what prevents repeat behavior.
Combine customer interviews, market insights, analytics, and stakeholder feedback to identify and de-risk high-potential opportunities.
Rapidly ideate, prototype, and test product solutions that improve core venture metrics and support faster learning.
Apply learnings from one venture to the next and help create a practical shared playbook for moving from 0 to 1.
Define and evolve product strategy while balancing customer experience, business impact, unit economics, and squad KPIs.
Prioritize problems and solutions based on customer needs, commercial value, growth potential, technical feasibility, and measurable impact.
Enhance and scale the core product experience through continuous iteration, experimentation, and structured delivery.
Own the roadmap for assigned venture initiatives and ensure alignment with strategic objectives, leadership expectations, and delivery capacity.
Use AI tools to prototype ideas, pressure-test concepts, improve execution speed, and support stronger product development workflows.
Keep teams unblocked through clear requirements, strong communication, practical planning, and disciplined stakeholder management.
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in digital product management.
Experience launching products to market is required, ideally including at least one 0 to 1 launch such as a new vertical, new marketplace, new business model, or new consumer product.
The candidate should be AI-fluent in both product building and product delivery, including the ability to prototype ideas, use shared context libraries, identify useful AI capabilities, and improve team AI literacy.
Strong curiosity across categories is important, with the ability to quickly understand new shoppers, supply dynamics, market conditions, competitors, and commercial economics.
The role requires comfort with business models and unit economics, not only product features. The candidate should be able to understand the loop that makes a venture work and the levers that can improve it.
The successful candidate should be comfortable operating in ambiguity, forming opinions with incomplete information, testing assumptions, and revising direction when evidence changes.
The candidate should be resilient when influencing partner teams without direct authority, including engineering platforms, commercial teams, brand stakeholders, and other product teams.
Strong understanding of Agile product management and empowered product team practices is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are important, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders and contribute confidently to discussions with engineers.
The role suits someone who can define solutions using research, data analysis, user feedback, stakeholder input, and clear prioritization.
Hands-on experience with Jira and structured product delivery tools is preferred.
Experience in e-commerce, marketplace, Q-commerce, fintech, content-led consumer products, discovery-heavy digital products, or venture building will be a strong advantage.
