Role Context
The Senior Manager - Strategic Ads Partnerships will lead the growth and monetization strategy for high-GMV brands across talabat’s advertising business. The role focuses on building structured account roadmaps, increasing advertising adoption, expanding investment across product channels, and creating predictable revenue growth from key accounts.
This is a senior commercial role with direct responsibility for revenue acceleration, custom advertising solutions, partner-facing narratives, and cross-functional alignment with commercial, product, finance, legal, billing, and leadership teams. The role requires a leader who can balance strategic thinking with number ownership, negotiation strength, and disciplined execution across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the advertising growth strategy for key accounts across Food and Non-Food verticals, with direct ownership of revenue acceleration and commercial outcomes.
Build account-specific advertising strategies instead of generic plans, defining budget potential, growth targets, investment priorities, and activation roadmaps for each partner.
Expand advertising monetization beyond on-platform products by unlocking new demand channels such as agencies, DSPs, off-app media, and other commercial growth levers.
Pilot, validate, and scale high-impact demand opportunities, then convert successful models into go-to-market approaches for broader rollout.
Track monthly and quarterly advertising revenue delivery from key accounts and take ownership of performance against targets.
Develop tailored investment strategies across channels, including on-app, off-app, CPC, display, acquisition-led campaigns, conversion-focused placements, and brand-building solutions.
Decide how budgets should shift across seasons, campaigns, product goals, customer demand patterns, and partner business priorities.
Design custom advertising packages, bundled media solutions, pricing structures, pilots, and non-standard commercial setups in partnership with internal teams.
Lead senior partner negotiations and align commercial terms with internal stakeholders across finance, legal, billing, and account management.
Identify gaps in advertising products, targeting, pricing, reporting, and measurement based on account needs and revenue impact.
Provide structured feedback to product teams to influence feature prioritization, roadmap discussions, and market-relevant advertising improvements.
Establish clear advertising narratives for senior partner conversations, ensuring each key account understands the value, roadmap, and expected impact of its media investments.
Use performance data, market signals, and account-level insights to improve campaign strategy, budget allocation, and long-term advertising adoption.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to align business priorities, commercial goals, and scalable advertising practices across markets.
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
The role requires 10+ years of total professional experience, including at least 5 years in advertising sales within an e-commerce, marketplace, digital platform, media, or technology-led business.
A minimum of 5 years of direct team leadership experience is required, with a proven ability to coach, guide, and manage commercial teams in a high-growth environment.
The candidate should have strong experience managing C-level relationships, building strategic partnerships, negotiating commercial deals, and influencing senior decision-makers.
A successful profile will combine advertising sales expertise with analytical depth, using data to define revenue opportunities, shape sales strategy, and improve commercial execution.
Experience working with product teams on feature development, roadmap feedback, delivery priorities, or advertising platform improvement will be highly valuable.
