Role Context
The Staff Product Designer will join the Quick Commerce team to help shape global product experiences used across Delivery Hero and talabat operations. The role focuses on building technology that supports non-food offerings, improves operational efficiency, expands market reach, and strengthens the customer and partner experience across quick commerce.
This position is part of a global product environment based in Dubai, working with Berlin-based domain teams and stakeholders across multiple countries. The successful candidate will design data-heavy platforms and workflows that support assortment decisions, pricing intelligence, store operations, merchandising quality, product availability, and scalable operational decision-making across global quick commerce markets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead design strategy in close alignment with product strategy, business priorities, platform vision, and global quick commerce objectives.
Translate complex user needs, operational workflows, business requirements, and data-heavy problems into clear and practical design solutions.
Drive the full product design process from discovery, research, ideation, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, high-fidelity design, testing, and implementation support.
Design production-ready web and mobile experiences using Figma as the main design and collaboration tool.
Create user-centered solutions for B2B platforms used in category management, store management, pricing, assortment planning, merchandising, availability, and operational intelligence.
Work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, data teams, senior stakeholders, and global domain teams to deliver scalable design outcomes.
Represent the voice of the user in product discussions by bringing research findings, user narratives, usability insights, and workflow evidence into decision-making.
Lead research initiatives and usability testing sessions to validate design direction, uncover workflow pain points, and improve product quality.
Support the design of intelligence layers that automate operational decisions across large store networks, high SKU volumes, and multiple international markets.
Promote design best practices within the squad and across the organization by raising design quality, encouraging better problem framing, and challenging established assumptions.
Advocate for design proposals through clear storytelling, structured reasoning, user evidence, and data-backed insights.
Manage multiple design workstreams in a fast-paced global product environment while maintaining strong prioritization, delivery quality, and stakeholder alignment.
Use Figma distributed version control tools to support scalable collaboration, design governance, and reliable handoff.
Mentor and guide designers where needed, helping raise design maturity, craft quality, and product thinking across teams.
Partner with developers during implementation to ensure design quality, usability standards, and production details are delivered accurately.
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience as a Product Designer with a strong web and mobile portfolio that demonstrates user-centered problem solving, product thinking, and high-quality interface design.
A minimum of 7 years of professional product design experience is required, with specific experience in heavy data B2B products.
Experience designing complex operational tools, decision platforms, enterprise dashboards, internal systems, marketplace products, e-commerce platforms, Q-commerce tools, or data-rich workflow products will be highly valuable.
The candidate should have strong Figma experience, including use of distributed version control tools and collaborative design workflows.
The role requires the ability to lead design and research initiatives, convert findings into product direction, and explain design decisions through clear narratives and data-driven insights.
The successful candidate should be comfortable managing multiple initiatives, prioritizing effectively, and working across global teams in a fast-moving product environment.
Strong collaboration skills are essential, especially when working with product managers, engineers, researchers, data teams, peers, and senior stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required.
Experience in leadership, mentorship, design critique, and raising design standards across teams will be highly valued.
