What You’ll Do
* Provide legal advisory support aligned with the bank’s business objectives
* Handle litigation in UAE and international jurisdictions, including employment, bankruptcy, and housing loan-related disputes
* Represent the bank before courts, police, and government authorities
* Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and contracts to minimize risk
* Monitor changes in laws, official gazettes, and regulatory developments
* Collaborate on internal training initiatives and knowledge sharing within the legal team
* Manage external law firms and the litigation panel to maintain high legal standards
* Lead reporting and updates on litigation matters to senior leadership
* Supervise allocation of legal notifications and support compliance across departments
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Law
* Minimum 7 years of legal experience, preferably in banking or law firms
* At least 2 years in a litigation or advisory role within the UAE
* Strong understanding of UAE legal framework, including civil and commercial law
* Proficiency in Arabic (mandatory); English communication is beneficial
* Solid experience handling court procedures, legal drafting, and internal reporting
* Strong stakeholder management and ability to work under pressure on sensitive legal issues
