This critical role involves aligning all legal frameworks with UAE federal law, FATF AML/CFT requirements, and Dubai\'s strategic 8 principles. What You’ll Do
* Develop, draft, and implement legal frameworks, policy strategies, and governance models aligned with federal law and international standards
* Ensure compliance with AML/CFT requirements and manage risk assessments in accordance with FATF guidelines
* Monitor and interpret new legislation and its implications for the Authority, free zone entities, and master developers
* Prepare legal guidelines, policy advisories, and benchmarking documents for evolving regulatory landscapes
* Liaise with federal and Dubai governmental legal committees, submitting requests for legal opinions and clarifications
* Advise executive leadership on legal risks, contract matters, regulatory obligations, and free zone operations
* Govern the legal interpretation of civil, corporate, commercial, and governance laws applicable within the zone
* Build legal awareness across departments and ensure all legal frameworks are implemented with consistency and accountability
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in Law required; Master’s in Law preferred
* Minimum 7 years of legal experience with at least 5 years in a leadership or regulatory position
* Proven expertise in free zone laws, UAE regulatory frameworks, and AML/CFT enforcement
* Strong analytical and risk assessment skills with attention to legislative detail
* Fluent in English and Arabic (spoken and written) with excellent interpersonal and advisory skills
* Knowledge of international benchmarking and policy governance in regulatory environments
