Responsibilities:
- Oversee all outgoing and incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely documentation.
- Supervise daily logistics operations and provide guidance to the logistics team.
- Obtain shipping schedules from logistics agents to determine the most efficient mode and timeline for shipments.
- Coordinate with shipping agents and arrange inbound and outbound shipments via sea, air, or land transport upon management approval.
- Prepare and submit packing lists for customs clearance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in logistics documentation and shipment records.
- Negotiate the best service and pricing for logistics activities to optimize cost and efficiency.
- Track equipment shipments and ensure timely delivery by liaising with freight forwarders and resolving potential delays.
- Establish strong communication channels with intercompany personnel, including logistics and operations teams in the UK, India, and UAE.
- Support purchasing strategies, including sourcing, cost management, and procurement of external resources, services, and facilities for projects.
- Ensure proper checks and balances in areas such as permit closure, invoice verification, and record maintenance.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and service providers to secure optimal pricing and service quality.
- Provide on-site support for project load-in and load-out activities outside of standard working hours, including evenings, weekends, and national holidays as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in logistics operations.
- Qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Experience working in a similar industry or fast-paced logistics environment.
- Knowledge of Carnet application procedures is an advantage.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Team-oriented and self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for coordinating across departments and suppliers.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in dynamic environments.
