Health and Safety Inspector – DP World Dubai, UAE
Role Summary
The Health and Safety Inspector – DP World Dubai will oversee occupational health and safety (OH&S) compliance on shipyard and offshore projects. The role ensures effective implementation of safety procedures, inspections, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness, contributing to a strong safety culture across operations.

What You’ll Do
* Manage daily OH&S activities in line with company policies and project safety plans
* Conduct and monitor safety inspections, including gas tests, as required
* Ensure proper implementation of the Permit to Work system on site
* Promote safety awareness campaigns and positive safety behavior among employees
* Support accident investigations and root cause analysis, preparing reports as needed
* Liaise with project managers, clients, and contractors on safety issues and solutions
* Implement and monitor OH&S and environmental systems on assigned projects
* Assist with safety briefings, employee training, and emergency response support
* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports and attend project meetings
* Identify areas for continuous improvement in safety practices and procedures
Ideal Profile
* NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent safety qualification
* Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Safety Inspector or similar role
* Background in ship repair, rig repair, offshore construction, or related industries
* Strong knowledge of safety inspections, risk assessment, and accident investigation
* Familiarity with OH&S management systems, OHSAS 18001, and regulatory standards
* Strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
