Position Overview

Assistant Nurse - Outpatient Clinic in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a Hospital and Health Care hiring opportunity for a DHA licensed or DHA eligible nursing professional with strong outpatient clinic, patient care, clinical support, dental clinic, and documentation experience. This role supports physicians, dentists, and nursing teams at the Festival Plaza clinic, with daily responsibilities focused on safe patient care, vital signs monitoring, procedure assistance, infection control, emergency response, and smooth clinic operations.

The position is well suited for a compassionate and hands-on Assistant Nurse who can work confidently in a fast-paced outpatient environment. The successful candidate will

Role Context

The Assistant Nurse - Outpatient Clinic plays an important role in supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality care within a busy clinic environment in Discovery Gardens, Dubai. The role provides direct support to physicians, dentists, registered nurses, and patients by assisting with assessments, procedures, documentation, stock readiness, and patient communication.

In outpatient healthcare, patients expect timely service, privacy, dignity, and clear communication. This role helps ensure those standards are maintained throughout the care journey. The Assistant Nurse will monitor patient conditions, escalate concerns, support chronic disease care, follow infection control protocols, and help the clinic team maintain continuity of care across daily consultations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

* Support physicians, dentists, and nursing teams in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered outpatient care.
* Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and other required observations.
* Escalate abnormal readings, patient deterioration, or clinical concerns to the appropriate clinician without delay.
* Assist with patient assessments, examinations, and clinical procedures within the approved scope of practice.
* Support the care of patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, respiratory conditions, cardiac concerns, and related outpatient needs.
* Maintain patient dignity, privacy, consent, safety, and confidentiality during all interactions.
* Communicate patient updates clearly and professionally with physicians, dentists, nurses, and other members of the clinical team.
* Respond to emergencies within scope and escalate immediately according to clinic protocol.
* Follow infection control, safeguarding, patient safety, and clinical governance procedures at all times.
* Provide emotional support to patients and families, especially during stressful consultations or procedures.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with clinic standards.
* Assist with ECG support, blood glucose monitoring, POCT, wound care, dressings, venipuncture, blood sampling, and IV cannulation where trained and authorized.
* Support safe use, cleaning, preparation, and basic maintenance of clinical equipment.
* Help manage clinic stock by checking medical supplies, replenishing items, and reporting shortages.
* Prepare consultation rooms, procedure areas, and dental support areas for daily clinical activity.
* Attend mandatory training, including Basic Life Support, emergency response, infection control, and other required clinical updates.
* Participate in ongoing professional development and apply learning to daily patient care.
* Contribute to a positive, respectful, and collaborative multidisciplinary team environment.
* Follow clinic policies, DHA requirements, health and safety standards, and internal healthcare procedures.

Ideal Profile

* Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
* Valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility as an Assistant Nurse is mandatory.
* Valid Basic Life Support certification is mandatory.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar nursing support role.
* Clinic, outpatient, or ambulatory care experience is preferred.
* Previous dental clinic experience is highly preferred.
* Strong clinical support skills with confidence assisting physicians, dentists, and nursing staff.
* Good experience in vital signs monitoring, patient assessments, infection control, wound care, and clinical documentation.
* Exposure to ECG support, venipuncture, blood sampling, IV cannulation, blood glucose monitoring, and POCT will be an advantage.
* Good computer skills with the ability to update records and maintain accurate patient documentation.
* Fluency in English is required.
* Nepali language skills are highly preferred.
* Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach to care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to reassure patients and work well with clinical teams.
* Reliable, team-oriented, and able to perform effectively in a busy outpatient clinic environment.
