Job Overview:
Al-Futtaim Group is seeking a proactive and strategic Last Mile Services Manager to ensure a seamless and rewarding customer journey for last-mile delivery services. This role involves optimizing capacity management for both in-store and online orders, enhancing service efficiency, and building long-lasting customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, capacity management, and customer experience, with a focus on using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Performance Management:**
- Maintain accurate system setups for store and online order capacities.
- Define and manage short and mid-term service and capacity parameters based on forecasts.
- Prepare service provider setups in the system and ensure all services are linked to the correct templates.
- Develop service partners through process and system training.
- Prepare plans and schedules to meet delivery and assembly needs efficiently.
- Ensure accurate reporting of service costs through reconciliation and analysis.
- Maintain KPI reports and develop action plans for areas of concern.
- Allocate fleet resources efficiently to meet productivity and lead time targets.
- Monitor contingency plans to ensure seamless delivery and assembly services.
- Utilize the transport management system to reduce repetitive tasks and enhance productivity.
- Contribute to the department’s action plan and take ownership of its delivery.
- **People Management:**
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall shopping experience for customers.
- Share knowledge and encourage continuous learning within the team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and mutual respect among team members.
- Support colleagues when needed and work closely with other store functions.
- **Financial Management:**
- Follow department guidelines to optimize routing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Understand the impact of actions on financial results and balance customer needs with financial goals.
- Seek innovative ways to reduce costs while maintaining high service standards.
- **Health and Safety:**
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Report any risks, hazards, or unusual activities to the senior manager.
- Ensure a safe working environment for team members and service providers.
- **Business Planning:**
- Align with department business plans and action plans set by the management team.
- Contribute to achieving business goals through effective last-mile service management.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in logistics, capacity management, or last-mile services.
- Proven track record in customer experience management and last-mile delivery optimization.
- Excellent communication skills, including persuasion and negotiation abilities.
- Strong self-assuredness and confidence in managing service providers and customer interactions.
- Proficiency in using help desk software, remote support tools, and transport management systems.
- Ability to analyze KPIs, generate reports, and develop action plans for performance improvement.
- Collaborative and adaptable mindset, with the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of last-mile services, capacity management, and customer experience optimization.
- Experience with digital channels and active selling strategies is highly desirable.
