Position Overview
Amazon is hiring a Launch Manager in Dubai, UAE to lead strategic and tactical projects supporting the continued expansion of the Amazon Now network and the launch of new Fulfillment Centers. The role owns project scoping, launch planning, process development, schedule risk mitigation, cross-functional coordination, execution tracking, and communication with senior leadership. This position requires strong project ownership and the ability to deliver multiple time-sensitive initiatives across business, technology, design, procurement, construction, and operations teams.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Work backwards from customer requirements to define program scope, requirements,
and critical milestones.
- Own end-to-end project coordination for new Fulfillment Center launches.
- Create and maintain project plans covering Road to Launch activities.
- Drive multiple time-sensitive action items simultaneously across different teams.
- Own program trackers and communicate progress and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate multiple stakeholders to ensure launch activities are completed according to program requirements.
- Identify and mitigate schedule risks that could affect launch execution.
- Develop processes that support consistent and effective project delivery.
- Operate effectively in situations involving significant ambiguity and a rapidly changing environment.
- Collaborate with and influence team members and stakeholders across technical and non-technical functions.
- Present project progress, risks, changes, and results to senior leadership on a regular basis.
- Gather and analyze launch performance data.
- Use data and metrics to identify opportunities for process and program improvement.
- Establish and develop initiatives that support network expansion strategies.
Cross-functional Launch Management
The Launch Manager coordinates execution across business, technology, design, procurement, construction, and operations stakeholders. Strong cross-team communication is central to the role, particularly when managing dependencies, resolving launch issues, maintaining schedules, and ensuring that critical activities are completed before a new facility becomes operational.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of program or project management experience.
- 3+ years of experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
- 3+ years of experience defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
- 4+ years of Fulfillment Center operations experience.
- Bachelor\'s degree.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLookUps.
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to identify improvements.
- Literacy in layout and Fulfillment Center design.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
- 3+ years of experience driving process improvements.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders at different levels of an organization.
- Experience building processes, managing projects, and developing schedules.
