Role Context
The Operations Lead will take
day-to-day responsibility for Amazon Now operations across either one large site or several smaller locations. The position supports a newly developed service model focused on faster customer delivery and efficient third-party store operations.
This role connects frontline execution with broader operational targets. The Operations Lead will monitor site performance, coach associates, enforce policies consistently, conduct operational audits, and identify practical improvements that strengthen reliability and customer experience. The position also provides leadership coverage by acting on behalf of the Area Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end daily operations for one large site or a group of smaller operating locations.
* Supervise store operations and ensure activities are aligned with Amazon Now service expectations.
* Monitor customer-facing metrics and address performance gaps that could affect delivery speed or service quality.
* Maintain operating cost targets while protecting workplace safety, team morale, and service standards.
* Lead performance management activities for associates through coaching, regular feedback, and clear expectations.
* Prepare and implement development and training plans that improve individual and team capability.
* Track attendance and ensure relevant workplace policies are applied fairly and consistently.
* Review productivity, quality, and safety performance across both store-based and field-related activity where applicable.
* Conduct daily 4M audits to identify issues involving manpower, machines, materials, and operational methods.
* Complete 5S audits to maintain organized, efficient, and safe store environments.
* Investigate recurring operating issues and introduce corrective actions that produce sustainable improvements.
* Use operational data and reporting to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for better site performance.
* Maintain a disciplined approach to process compliance while adapting quickly to changing business requirements.
* Support associates during periods of high operational demand and maintain clear communication across shifts.
* Act as stand-in for the Area Manager when additional site leadership coverage is required.
Ideal Profile
Candidates should hold at least a High School diploma and demonstrate the maturity to manage daily operational responsibilities in a fast-moving environment.
The position is suitable for someone with exposure to logistics, store operations, fulfillment, warehouse activity, delivery operations, retail operations, or frontline team supervision. Previous experience managing associates, monitoring performance indicators, or supporting operational improvement would be valuable.
Strong communication skills are important because the Operations Lead will provide feedback, coach associates, coordinate operational priorities, and escalate performance issues when necessary.
