Role Context
This position is responsible for turning business demand into a practical operating plan for a high-volume fulfillment
Key Responsibilities
Daily leadership will combine hands-on shift management with broader site improvement work.
* Manage, coach, and develop a team of Area Managers
* Set clear shift priorities and ensure operational teams understand performance expectations
* Oversee order fulfillment and dispatch activities throughout the assigned shift
* Respond quickly to workflow interruptions, staffing constraints, safety concerns, and productivity issues
* Analyze site and shift results against safety, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity objectives
* Investigate performance gaps and introduce measurable corrective actions
* Review demand forecasts and prepare labor and operating plans for changing order volumes
* Mentor managers and strengthen their leadership, decision-making, and performance management capabilities
* Partner with Human Resources, Finance, Health and Safety, Security, and operations integration teams
* Lead meetings covering performance trends, operational risks, resource needs, and improvement priorities
* Design and deliver initiatives that improve efficiency and consistency across the site
* Apply process improvement and lean techniques to remove waste and simplify workflows
* Promote compliance with standard operating procedures and workplace safety requirements
* Contribute practical site insights to wider fulfillment network projects
Ideal Profile
The successful candidate will have at least three years of experience managing employees and performance in a demanding operational environment. A bachelor\'s degree or equivalent qualification is expected, although candidates with at least two years of eligible Amazon full-time experience may also meet the requirement.
This role requires a calm, visible leader who can interpret performance data, resolve operational problems, and hold managers accountable without losing sight of employee development. Experience with performance metrics, continuous improvement, or lean operating methods is preferred. Candidates must also be willing to work flexible schedules that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
