Position Overview
DP World is seeking an experienced Pipe Department Supervisor to oversee daily operations of piping activities across shipyard and offshore projects. This role ensures health and safety compliance, quality control, coordination with cross-functional teams, and execution of fabrication, welding, and repair tasks within approved timelines and standards.

What You’ll Do
* Supervise the daily operations of the pipe department, ensuring work is performed safely and efficiently
* Prioritize health and safety in all departmental activities, enforcing compliance with internal HSE policies
* Review project timelines and workflows, ensuring timely execution and contractual adherence
* Implement and promote new techniques in pipe fabrication and welding, focusing on productivity and process improvement
* Coordinate with Ship Repair Managers, Superintendents, and other departments to streamline workflow
* Conduct inspections of worksites, both in the workshop and on board vessels, to ensure resource optimization
* Approve material requisitions, repair methods for rejected work, and raise occurrence reports as needed
* Halt processes when quality standards are compromised, ensuring only compliant work proceeds
* Act as substitute for the Department Manager during absences, when appointed
* Support continuous improvement of documentation processes and departmental procedures
Ideal Profile
* Degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline
* Minimum 10 years of experience in piping operations within shipyard or offshore construction projects
* Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding standards, and repair methodologies
* Understanding of ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 standards
* Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and safety
* Effective coordination and communication across departments and external stakeholders
