Role Context
This role plays a critical part in safeguarding product quality across warehouse operations, especially within temperature-controlled and fresh food categories. The position supports operational efficiency by reducing wastage, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and maintaining consistency in supplier quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct inbound quality checks covering temperature, shelf life, labeling, and product condition
* Ensure adherence to FIFO and FEFO principles with proper product segregation
* Monitor warehouse hygiene, storage practices, and cold chain compliance
* Manage product rejection processes and report supplier non-conformance cases
* Track supplier performance and follow up on corrective action plans
* Perform outbound quality checks before dispatch to stores
* Ensure compliance with UAE food safety regulations and internal SOPs
* Report quality KPIs including rejection rates, wastage, and deviations to management
Ideal Profile
* Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control within warehouse, distribution center, or FMCG environments
* Hands-on experience in butchery and fresh food handling is mandatory
* Strong understanding of cold chain logistics and inspection procedures
* Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP or ISO certifications preferred
* Ability to work in fast-paced operational environments with attention to detail
* Strong coordination skills when working with operations teams and suppliers
* Good communication skills with ability to escalate issues effectively
